Question: Does anyone know the difference between the different colors used in the lettering on the Monte Carlo SS?
On the sides of my black 2000 Monte Carlo, the lettering “Monte Carlo SS” is completely written in red.

I’ve noticed that other black Monte Carlos like mine have only the “SS” in red, and the “Monte Carlo” in black. Other black ones have the “Monte Carlo” in gray and the “SS” in red.

I’m just curious if there is a difference, or if Chevy just wasn’t paying enough attention while painting the letters. ^.^

The cars I’m comparing to my black one are black just like mine, and have the SS package, the only difference is the lettering colors.

What year is your Monte? Some years came with all red lettering.
